DIN-SPECIFIED EYE BOLTS 

DIN 444 – Swing Bolts / Eye Bolts with Shank 

• Type: Eye bolts with threaded shank and a formed eye, commonly used for linkage, pivoting, and non-critical suspension. 
• Material: Bright zinc plated mild steel; stainless steel options available. 
• Diameters: M5, M6, M8, M10, M12, M16
• Lengths: Multiple thread lengths available. 
• Applications: Ideal for fencing strainers, tensioning devices, gate furniture, and cable support. 
• Also referred to as swing bolts, these are not designed for lifting applications. 

DIN 580 – Lifting Eye Bolts 

• Type: Load-rated eye bolts designed for lifting and rigging. 
• Material: Carbon steel; available in self-colour, electro-galvanised or stainless steel. 
• Finish: Electro-galvanised (zinc plated), self-colour, or stainless steel for corrosion resistance. 
• Sizes: M6 to M30 
• Applications: Used for vertical lifting and securing loads, including hoisting and rigging in industrial settings. 

Note: Must be installed with full thread engagement into load-bearing materials. Load capacities vary by diameter and material grade. 

DIN 582 – Lifting Eye Nuts 

• Type: Female-threaded lifting eye nuts. 
• Material: Carbon steel or stainless steel. 
• Sizes: M6 to M30 standard. 
• Finish: Self-colour, galvanised, zinc plated or stainless (marine-grade) available. 
• Applications: Used in conjunction with externally threaded fasteners or studs for lifting and anchoring. 

Note: Must comply with lifting guidelines; not for angular lifting unless specifically rated.
